Doesn’t connect really, Honda is still in for 2021, when Alonso comes back, and we don’t know the end result of that. Alonso may not be there after 2021 either if Alpine don’t do well. Plus Honda is the one who most recently “hurt” Alonso by making sure he didn’t get an Andretti-Honda for the Indy 500. He could have won otherwise if he wasn’t stuck in a Chevy.

It will be interesting to see how the Honda powered teams will do in 2021 vs Alpine-Renault & Alonso. If he manages to score higher by the end of the year, then this meme will actually be valid.

Honda are the only other engine manufacturer to win this year besides Mercedes so far, no less with two teams, which is the one thing Mercedes hasn’t done this year yet.  Silver linings right :)

Huh? What is Alonso laughing at here? They are ditching F1 (not the other way around) to focus on electrics. There is talk Mercedes isn’t far behind doing the same thing.

T hey are clearly the 2nd best engine right now, with the only other victories besides the Werks Mercedes team.

And if Alpine doesn’t do well next year, Alonso won’t be staying in F1 either.

Yes I know, I’m just wondering what that meme you posted has to do with now, especially since there is no reason for Alonso the be smiling at the moment.

Honda is still in F1, will be there for the full year in 2021, the same year Alonso will be coming back, and there is no guarantee Alonso is going to have a better year than Honda powered drivers.

So my point is, your meme doesn’t make sense to the current situation, heck, he even tried to get a Honda powered car for the Indy 500 just recently.

Again, we all know their history. But you are trying to apply it to now, which doesn’t actually make sense.

Honda has done well with Red Bull and Alpha Tauri since leaving McLaren.

Lol, it’s Honda that was laughing at Alonso most recently. He begged for a Honda in the Indy 500, he could have won otherwise, but they said NO!

Honda is dumping F1, not the other way around. They will be competing next year with Alonso, I doubt Alpine-Renault will beat Red Bull-Honda next year.  So no grave dancing for Alonso. 

Renault has sucked for years, and if they suck next year, Alonso will be leaving as well, so lets not assume something that hasn’t happened yet, because both Honda and Alonso may not make it past 2021 in F1.

I’m going to laugh if Montoya gets a Toyota WEC deal and ends up winning the Triple Crown before Alonso.

The only way Alonso wins Indy is either  if he publicly apologizes to Honda (not his style) or he gets a Penske ride.
